How can we fix the levels of transparency so that everybody can understand what the city is currently planning. Knowing that a budget has been passed doesn't necessarily satisfy our needs nowadays.
To fix this, the city can:
Publish public-friendly graphs to better understand the decisions made.
Clear reports on the audits made throughout the year.
Updated milestone reports and projects being done throughout the city.
Yes, the city has its newsletter but not all of the information is provided leaving many residents continuously questioning the direction the city is moving towards.
Every year, cities across the nation pass a budget to make sure that the needs of their communities are met. However, circumstances come about where we are unsure of what the money is going towards and how it is affecting our daily lives. This conversation comes up often, especially when we notice an issue taking longer than it should be resolved.
