Parks & Our Quality of Life

In order for us to live a more prosperous life, we need to not only ensure that needs can be met, but our mental and physical well-beings as well. Examples on what we can do to better improve our city may include the following:

  • Cleaning up and completing sidewalks for safer walking areas.

  • Completing the updates on curves to ensure that all walkways are ADA compliant.

  • Transforming abandoned spaces into Parks or recreational centers to better serve their immediate community.

  • Adding tree coverage where applicable to provide greener spaces where Parks may not be an option.

The city of Norwalk has so much potential, and with this, will help bring a new life into the city, making it a more vibrant and overall happier city to live in.

Within our Norwalks’ city limits, their are 12 Parks with multiple facilities throughout allowing families to enjoy the fresh air in a safe and controlled environment. With over 100,000 citizens in a 9.7 sq.mi radius, that is a lot of space covered with little access to recreational facilities simultaneously. Depending on what area of Norwalk one may live, access to a park may not be an option for some families.
